The question arises as to how accessible such weapons will be

As part of the MSPO defense exhibition currently taking place in the Polish city of Kielce, there was a presentation of Canadian-made Roshel Senator wheeled armored vehicles, which received quite interesting weapons options.

In the first variant, it is a classic MRAP that received a combat module installed for KPVT machine gun. In the second variant, it is a kind of armored pickup equipped with a module for the 23-mm GSh-23 autocannon. The CEO of Roshel Canadian defense company, Roman Shimonov, posted a video on his account on X.

No detailed information about these vehicles is provided, only a general indication that "such firepower will provide these armored vehicles with versatility in various operations."

As Defense Express, we can assume that such armored vehicles will be able to engage enemy unmanned aerial vehicles at close range.

It should be recalled that the 14.5-mm KVPT machine gun has an effective range of up to 2000 meters against ground and air targets. The GSh-23 autocannon has a similar declared range.

However, the question arises as to how affordable such weapons can be.

On the one hand, the 23-mm GSh-23 autocannon is part of the Su-25 aircraft and Mi-24VP helicopters armament. It is also a self-defense weapon for Il-76 airlifter, and was part of the armament of Su-17 aircraft. This all indicates that, for example, the Defense Forces of Ukraine may have the appropriate amount of ammunition for the GSh-23 at their disposal.

But there may also be nuances with where to get additional GSh-23 to equip these armored pickups, which can be quite a good tool for destroying drones.

Earlier Defense Express reported that Poland was preparing for the 32nd MSPO exhibition.
