President Joe Biden has threatened to veto a bill passed by the House of Representatives if it provides aid only to Israel, without Ukraine.
The Biden administration is urging Congress to support aid to both Ukraine and Israel, and to approve a new aid package worth over $105 billion, of which more than $61 billion is for Ukraine.

The administration argues that the issues of aid to Ukraine and Israel are intertwined, as they are two fronts of one global war against authoritarianism. Weakening one front will inevitably lead to a worsening of the situation on the other.
The full-scale war in Ukraine is taking a lot of resources, and media reports indicate that Russia has received 1 million artillery shells from North Korea. Ukraine therefore urgently needs further American military aid.
While no one can promise a quick victory in Ukraine, weakening American support for the country would certainly lead to a deterioration of the security situation in Eastern Europe.
Ukraine is confident that the U.S. Congress is well aware that the world has plunged into a state of protracted crisis, from which it is impossible to stand aside. Overcoming this crisis will require the involvement of significantly more resources than have been invested so far.
