What are the peculiarities of this campaign of russian attacks on Ukraine?

On the morning of March 24, russia conducted another massive attack on several Oblasts of Ukraine, using 29 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles and 28 Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones. The Defenders of Ukraine managed to shot down 18 cruise missiles and 25 kamikaze drones.

Thus, this was the third massive attack by the russian federation in the last four days (including the attacks on March 21 and 22, 2024). According to the official reports of the Air Force of Ukraine, russians launched about 150 missiles of various types during these days. In particular, 98 Kh-101/X-555 cruise missiles, 26 S-300 SAM missiles, 14 Iskander/KN-23 ballistic missiles, at least seven Kh-47M2 Kinzhal hypersonic air-launched ballistic missiles as well as five Kh-22 anti-ship missiles were used.

According to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, it is reliably known that as of March 19, 2024, the number of missiles of launched by russia this month was 130 units.

Therefore, it can be concluded that russian terrorists not only had increased the intensity of their attacks, but also that the Kremlin has moved to a new targeted campaign of attacks on Ukraine's critical infrastructure.

For now, Defense Express can highlight the following features in this campaign:

- russians have shortened the interval between strikes. Now the break takes maximum one day, and it seems that invaders have some time just to change the personnel involved in conducting massive shelling of Ukraine;

- The question of whether there are still limits on the consumption of missiles, or whether, russians do not think about the number of missiles used and fire without any restrictions also arises. Are occupiers guided only by the planned figures laid down in the preparation of strikes;

- Another interesting fact is that russians are trying to destroy energy facilities and other critical infrastructure this time. But it is unknown whether they are conducting additional reconnaissance of targets in preparation for new strikes or simply hitting according to the plan;

-And it is also worth paying attention to the message from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine that it wants to prevent russians from buying satellite images from commercial operators.

Earlier Defense Express reported Azov and Yamal landing ships of russian Black Sea Fleet had been damaged during Ukrainian massive attack on temporarily occupied Crimea.
