The French Army Receives First Caesar Self-Propelled Howitzers, Replacing Those Granted to Ukraine

France has transferred a total of 30 Caesar self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine, with production rates reaching 8 units per month at the beginning of 2024

The French military received the initial batch of Caesar self-propelled howitzers to replace those provided to Ukraine as defense aid.

This was announced by the Minister of the French Armed Forces, Sébastien Lecornu.

"A significant and tangible achievement, allowing KNDS Nexter to produce Caesar self-propelled howitzers in 15 months, compared to 30 months before the russian-Ukrainian war," the Minister shared on social media.

Reminder that, according to recently released data, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have received a total of 30 units of the Caesar self-propelled howitzers (in the 6×6 version, with an additional 19 units in the 8×8 version provided by Denmark).
