Since May 2022, the "Gift to Putin" volunteer initiative has been operating in the Czech Republic, its purpose is to raise funds for the purchase of equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Czech manufacturers. In 4 months of work, this initiative collected 7 million euros, and now the Czechs want to hold a new campaign: to collect 1.22 million euros to purchase the T-72M tank for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Polish Defense24 portal writes about this.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic have already approved such an action. The T-72 for Ukraine will be bought from the reserves of the Czech Army.
