Ukrainian border guards and troops raised a helicopter shot down over the water surface

State border guard of Ukraine shared images of a russian helicopter that sank in a reservoir in the Kyiv region. Most likely, the vast Kyiv Reservoir on Dnipro river.

For that, the Zhytomyr region border guards squad united efforts with troops of the Armed Forces. A coastal defense boat towed the helicopter towards the surface.

Border guards say, the "alligator", as russians call this model, was "successfully transformed into a submarine and sent the very same direction as the russian warship" Moskva, which sank around April 15. By the way, russian coastal services tried to raise this one, too.

In this manner border guards imply, that the raised aircraft is nothing but the Ka-52 "Alligator" combat helicopter. However, ArmyInform states this one is the Mi-35 transport helicopter which is more likely.

Here is the footage provided by the border guards:

As Defense Express reported earlier, the Ukrainian air defense has destroyed numerous helicopters since russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Since then, not only advanced Stinger and Starstreak air defense systems were used against such air targets as "Alligators", but also, notably, Ukrainian-made anti-tank missiles.

Correction: information from independent sources states the model of the russian helicopter is Mi-35M, not Ka-52 "Alligator". The relevant corrections were made to the article.
