Soldiers of the Kara-Dag 15th National Guard Brigade are conducting regular training with the Fagot anti-tank guided missile system (ATGM), a weapon that continues to play a key role against enemy armored vehicles. Despite being a system of Soviet origin, the ATGM remains effective, particularly in urban combat scenarios where heavy vehicles are often deployed.
The Brigade emphasized that consistent practice is vital for ensuring accuracy in real combat. Video footage released by the Kara-Dag Brigade shows guardsmen carrying out live-fire exercises, with the stated goal of destroying hostile targets with the very first missile.

Although the widespread use of drones has forced russian forces to reduce the number of armored assaults, tanks and other armored vehicles are still present on the battlefield. This makes reliable anti-tank capabilities an essential component of Ukraine's defense.
The Fagot system, known in NATO classification as the AT-4 Spigot, is a man-portable anti-tank guided missile with semi-automatic command guidance via a wire connection. While it was designed in the 1970s, it remains in service thanks to its simplicity and dependability.
Depending on the missile modification, the system has an effective range of 2 to 2.5 kilometers. This allows operators to strike armored targets from a relatively safe distance while maintaining precision.
The Kara-Dag Brigade noted that live-fire drills are designed to simulate battlefield conditions as closely as possible. Such training ensures that crews will be prepared to respond instantly and effectively should russian armor appear in their sector.
As Defense Express previously reported, on the night of August 19, the Security Service of Ukraine drones struck two russian ammunition depots in the temporarily occupied settlement of Bilokurakyne, Luhansk region. The town lies on a key railway line used by russia to deliver ammunition to the front, particularly toward the Pokrovsk axis.
