On Sunday, Ukraine’s Air Force has launched six strikes on enemy personnel and military equipment clusters as well as six russian drones were shot down: three Lancet unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), two Zala UAVs and one Supercam UAV

At the same time Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit four Russian air defense missile systems, 11 personnel, ammunition and military equipment clusters, one ammunition depot, and five electronic warfare systems.

That is according to Ukraine’s General Staff operational update regarding the russian invasion as of 06.00, on April 10, 2023.

According to the operational update, russian troops continue focusing efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions. In the past 24 hours, Ukrainian defenders have repelled 58 enemy attacks.

Key points of the update:

  • In the Volyn, Polissia, Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the situation remained rather unchanged. No enemy offensive groupings were detected. Russian troops continue maintaining presence within the border areas of the Kursk and Belgorod regions. Over the past day, Russian invaders have opened fire on the Chernihiv region’s Yasna Poliana and Hremiach; the Sumy region’s Baranivka, Volfyne, Zapsillia and Popivka; the Kharkiv region’s Veterynarne, Kozacha Lopan, Mala Danylivka, Hatyshche, Ustynivka, Milove, Velykyi Burluk and Topoli.
  • In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy shelled the Kharkiv region’s Krasne Pershe, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne and Pershotravneve.
  • In the Lyman direction, Russian troops were conducting unsuccessful offensive actions to the south of Dibrova. The enemy launched artillery strikes on the Luhansk region’s Novoselivske, Cherneshchyna, Makiivka, Nevske, Yampolivka, Bilohorivka, and the Donetsk region’s Kolodiazi, Torske, Siversk, Spirne and Berestove.
  • In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops continue conducting offensive actions and trying to establish full control over Bakhmut. Fierce battles are underway. Over the past day, the enemy has been conducting unsuccessful offensive actions to the east of Bohdanivka and near Khromove. Ukrainian defenders repelled over 30 enemy attacks within that frontline section. The enemy shelling affected the Donetsk region’s Vasiukivka, Zaliznianske, Minkivkam Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Markove, Bakhmut, Khromove, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Bila Hora, Ozarianivka, Druzhba and Zalizne.
  • In the Avdiivka and Marinka directions, Russian invaders were conducting offensive actions near Novokalynove, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Sieverne, Vodiane and Marinka, but had no success. The most fierce battles continue for Avdiivka and Marinka, where over 20 enemy attacks were repelled.
  • In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian troops did not conduct offensive actions. The enemy opened fire on the Donetsk region’s Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Bohoiavlenka, Shakhtarske, Novoukrainka, Vekyka Novosilka, Prechystivka and Zolota Nyva.
  • In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian invaders continue expanding defensive lines and positions. The enemy opened fire on the settlements situated close to the contact line over 45 times, including the Donetsk region’s Vremivka and Novopil; the Zaporizhzhia region’s Zaporizke, Olhivske, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka and Kamianske; and the Kherson region’s Kachkarivka, Mykolaivka, Lvove, Mykilske, Inzhenerne, and the city of Kherson.

As the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine notes, russian troops launched 26 air strikes and four missile strikes. Two enemy S-300 missiles hit civil infrastructure in the Zaporizhzhia region. Casualties among civilians were reported, and residential buildings were damaged or destroyed. Another two Russian S-300 missiles struck a civil infrastructure facility in the Donetsk region’s Kostiantynivka.

Additionally, Russian invaders opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) 60 times. Enemy projectiles caused damage to civil infrastructure in the Kharkiv region’s Kupiansk and the Donetsk region’s Druzhkivka.

According to Ukraine’s General Staff operational update russian occupiers continue forced passportization efforts in the Zaporizhzhia region’s temporarily occupied areas. In Tokmak, Russian occupation authorities request that people submit their Ukrainian passports, birth certificates and allow the occupiers to take their fingerprints. They claim that Ukrainian passports and birth certificates will be issued back to the owners.

Ukraine’s General Staff also warns that the threat of Russian missile strikes is remaining high all over Ukraine.
