On the night of July 20, the enemy used not only missiles and Shahed-136 kamikaze drones but also a new unidentified type of drone to attack Ukraine. It was with this designation that it appeared in the report from the Air Force Command, which stated that thanks to the actions of mobile fire teams, anti-aircraft missile troops, and electronic warfare units, 13 out of 16 Shaheds were shot down, along with one unidentified drone.
Later, the first image of the drone's debris appeared online, showing that it was indeed very different from the Shahed-136. Additionally, it was clarified that it flew at an extremely low altitude of 20-30 meters, strongly suggesting that it was most likely a kamikaze drone.

In addition, from its own sources, Defense Express received more photos of this downed drone. Based on these, it appears to be a UAV with a wingspan of over 4 meters, tail fins on beams, a pusher propeller, and a square-profile fuselage.
It may be noted that it resembles the russian ZALA 421-20, which has some similar features. However, this UAV belongs to the reconnaissance category and would be unlikely to fly at such a low altitude. Moreover, drones of this type are not widespread and are unlikely to still be in production, as ZALA began promoting this drone in the early 2010s, and it no longer appears in the company's product catalog.
In any case, the remains of this drone are currently being examined, which means that its capabilities, features, as well as the manufacturer and the components from which it was assembled, will be identified in the near future.
