All the shortcomings of the russia’s artillery were visible as if they are on the palm of your hand

Grouping of troops "Kakhovka" posted a video of how a tank unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed an artillery position of the russians, where at least two towed 152 mm Msta-B howitzers were located, firing from closed positions. The type of tanks is not disclosed.

Defense Express reminds that tanks are capable of firing from a closed position for a maximum of several kilometers, and it turns out that the calculations of the destroyed Msta-B missed the threat that came so close. This means that reconnaissance in the interests of artillery in the russian army is pretty rare.

The "firework" shows that the russians do not place shells in positions so that one hit does not take out the entire battery at once. Not a single motor vehicle was seen at the scene of the fire attack: it seems that the russians didn’t even assume that the battery would have to be removed from the fire of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Defense Express also notes that the Armed Forces of Ukraine systematically practiced firing from tanks at enemy targets from closed positions. Such exercises took place, for example, in 2020. And in 2021, T-80 crews even performed firing with targeting by Furia UAV.
