Photos showing a Russian guided aerial bomb based on the FAB-250 free-fall aerial bomb (Fugasnaya Aviatsionnaya Bomba, high-explosive aerial bomb, 250kg), which russian terrorists have recently used to attack Ukraine, have appeared in open access.
These photos clearly show that, to convert the FAB-250 into a guided bomb, the enemy did not "reinvent the wheel", but simply used the same UMPK module (UMPK - Unifitsirovannyi Modul Planirovaniya i Korrektsii, meaning unified gliding and correction module) that had previously been attached to the FAB-500 for the same purpose.

This can be confirmed by comparing the appearance of the FAB-250 and FAB-500 guided aerial bombs.
This visual detail was important, because until now there was no clear data on exactly how the russians convert their FAB-250 into guided ones, although it became known about the massive use of such weapons by the enemy as early as July of this year.
At the same time, the actual range at which russian terrorists can drop such guided aerial bombs remains unknown. In particular, when the russians began to use FAB-250-based guided aerial bombs in the summer for strikes in the East, the target hitting distance did not exceed 10 kilometers from the front line.
Also, it remains unclear what types of tactical aviation aircraft the russians can use to drop guided aerial bombs based on the FAB-250 - only the widely mentioned Su-34 and Su-35S, or, for example, Su-25 attack aircraft, which Ukrainian Defenders Destroyed 6 units in Tavria Sector in October.
