Defense Express found out how dangerous these russian systems are for the defenders of Ukraine, and how many of them were affected

The russian RosTech corporation announced that it had "ahead of schedule" supplied the russian occupation forces with another batch of the Zemledeliye Remote Minelaying System. These systems have a principle of operation similar to multiple launch rocket system (MLRS), but instead of "classic" rockets, the Zemledelie fires ammunition for remote laying of mines.

It is known that the stated firing range of the Zemledelie system is from 5 to 15 kilometers. Each launcher is equipped with two packages of 25 guides for 122mm rockets. It is claimed that one volley of the Zemledelie system is enough to set mines in a short period of time on an area of land, which can be equal to the area of several football fields.

The Zemledelie remote mine-laying system is one of the newest types of weapons adopted by the russian army. In particular, this system was put into service with the armed forces of the russian federation in December 2020. Its first use by russian troops on the battlefield of the Ukrainian-russian war was marked in March 2022, during the battles in the Kharkiv region.

Also, The russians used the Zemledelie systm in battles in the Zaporizhzhia direction in the spring and summer of 2023. It was in these episodes that the most dangerous characteristic of this system manifested itself - the ability to quickly place a new mine barrier in the path of Ukrainian troops, which, in turn, can make it impossible for units to advance in certain significant directions.

Currently, we know of at least two episodes when Ukrainian soldiers successfully attacked the russian Zemledelie systems. The first episode took place in March 2023 - then such a system was destroyed with the help of a bomb tat was droped from drone.

The second episode was recorded in June of this year, and then, apparently, one of the most effective means was used, most likely a sub-munition of individual targeting type SMArt 155 or 155 BONUS.
