In the Lyman sector, pilots of the SIGNUM Battalion successfully destroyed a russian Merlin reconnaissance UAV

The battalion, which is part of the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade Named After Prince Volodymyr Monomakh, reported the incident on its official page.

"The enemy’s Merlin UAV attempted to adjust artillery fire and gather intelligence. But it encountered what always stops the enemy — SIGNUM," the statement reads.

It is noted that Ukrainian pilots destroyed the target before it could cause any damage.

"The game is over for Merlin. Who’s next?" the battalion rhetorically asked.

As previously reported by Defense Express, operators of Ukraine’s Svarog 424th Battalion of the Unmanned Systems Forces recently located and destroyed a rare piece of russian electronic warfare equipment — the experimental KOP-2 system.

The KOP-2, short for Detection and Suppression System-2, is a modern russian system designed to detect and jam enemy drones. It scans the radio spectrum across a wide frequency range, identifies the frequency used by a UAV, and attempts to disable it using high-powered jamming signals.
