According to open sources indications, russian occupation forces received modernized infantry fighting vehicles with the BMP-1AM Basurmanin index in the area of the temporarily occupied Kupyansk.
In early February 2022, a few weeks before the war, there were reports that units of the Russian army in the Far East had received a "large batch" of modernized BMP-1. Until now, appearance of russia’s infantry fighting vehicles Basurmanin hasn’t been recorded.

Defense Express hopes, that soon these armored vehicles will end up being in the destroyed list of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
