North Korea has reportedly supplied russia with over 100 artillery systems and more than 100 short-range ballistic missiles of the KN-23/24 type, according to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
The arms transfer began on October 3, 2024, and includes the M-1989 Koksan 170 mm self-propelled artillery systems and the M-1991 240 mm multiple launch rocket systems. Alongside the equipment, North Korea has delivered substantial amounts of large-caliber ammunition, over 5 million units, along with the ballistic missiles.

The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine disclosed that more than 60 units of the M-1989 artillery systems have already been sent to russia, with some intended for personnel training at the Saratov Higher Military Command Engineering School. However, the operational condition of these systems remains unclear.
This arms supply underscores growing military cooperation between Pyongyang and Moscow amidst ongoing geopolitical tensions. The transfer may bolster russia’s artillery and missile capabilities, potentially impacting the dynamics of the conflict in Ukraine.
