Ukrainian paratroopers successfully repelled a russian assault in the Kurakhove sector, according to the press service of OSGT Khortytsia, citing a video from the 46th Separate Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian Airborne Forces.
russian forces attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses and capture Maksymilianivka, a village in the Marinka community of Donetsk region, to pave the way for an attack on Kurakhove.

"Seven enemy tanks and 11 armored personnel carriers advanced toward Ukrainian positions. In the ensuing battle, Ukrainian paratroopers destroyed two tanks and five armored personnel carriers, while two more tanks were damaged and forced to retreat. The fate of 28 russian soldiers involved in the assault remains unknown," the statement read.
"As long as our fighters stand firm in defense, the enemy will not achieve its objectives," stated the deputy brigade commander for artillery.
He emphasized that Ukrainian warriors will not allow their land to be captured, and every invader faces inevitable defeat.
