Ukraine's Ministry of Defense has approved the use of domestically produced Varan buggies by the Armed Forces

These versatile vehicles will support personnel transport, medical evacuations, and ammunition delivery.

According to the Ministry, the Varan buggies are built on a robust power frame, specifically designed for tough conditions. Each vehicle features a powerful turbodiesel engine and a 5-speed automatic transmission, with most parts sourced from well-known international manufacturers.

The Ministry highlighted that the buggy's designer is a highly experienced engineer, well-versed in vehicle repair and operation. The buggies will be deployed for transporting personnel, evacuating the wounded, and delivering ammunition, among other tasks.

"The two-seater buggy weighs just over a ton but can carry up to 500 kg of cargo or tow a trailer weighing 300 kg. Its fuel tank supports up to 200 km of off-road travel, and on sand, the Varan can reach speeds of over 100 km/h," the Ministry said.
