On the night of October 21, 2024, the Unmanned Systems Forces, working in collaboration with other elements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, successfully destroyed russian Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile system. The Buk-M3, an advanced air defense system valued between $40 and $50 million USD, was struck approximately 60 kilometers from the frontline.

This operation highlights the growing importance of modern warfare technologies, as Ukrainian forces were able to eliminate the Buk-M3 system using a munition worth only $500.
