In the night between November 1 and 2, 2025, Ukraineєs Defense Intelligence carried out a coordinated strike on high-value russian air defense assets in temporarily occupied Crimea. The operation targeted one of the most advanced elements of russia’s anti-aircraft network, the S-400 Triumf system.
According to an official statement from the Defense Intelligence, the strike destroyed the command post of the S-400 air defense division deployed in Crimea. The attack reportedly eliminated the 92N6E multifunction radar, a crucial component of the S-400 system responsible for target acquisition and missile guidance, along with the system's autonomous power supply equipment.

In addition to disabling the S-400 command center, Ukrainian operatives successfully struck two other radar systems supporting russian air surveillance in the region. These included the AORL-1AS airfield surveillance radar and the P-18 Terek radar used by russian occupation forces for early warning and low-altitude target detection.
The destruction of these radar systems represents another blow to russia's integrated air defense architecture in Crimea, already under sustained pressure from Ukrainian long-range strikes in recent months. The elimination of the 92N6E radar, one of the most sophisticated elements of the S-400 system, will likely degrade the occupiers' ability to track and engage aerial targets, including Ukrainian drones and cruise missiles.
The operation also highlights Kyiv's growing capability to locate and precisely target russian air defense nodes deep within temporarily occupied territory.
By combining electronic intelligence, reconnaissance, and high-precision strike assets, Ukrainian forces continue to dismantle russia's layered defense network on the peninsula piece by piece.
As Defense Express previously reported, on October 31, 2025, Ukraine's Defense Intelligence carried out a successful special operation that disabled a strategically important russian military facility – the Koltsevaya fuel pipeline. The strike targeted one of russia's critical logistics arteries supplying the occupying army with gasoline, diesel, and aviation fuel for its war against Ukraine.
