On October 31, 2025, Ukraine's Defense Intelligence carried out a successful special operation that disabled a strategically important russian military facility – the Koltsevaya fuel pipeline. The strike targeted one of russia's critical logistics arteries supplying the occupying army with gasoline, diesel, and aviation fuel for its war against Ukraine.
According to an official statement released by the Defense Intelligence on November 1, the operation took place in the Ramensky district of Moscow region, deep within russian territory. The Koltsevaya pipeline was a vital component of the Kremlin's internal fuel distribution network, designed to sustain both civilian industry and military operations.

Despite the site being protected by anti-drone nets and guarded by armed security, Ukrainian intelligence operatives managed to bypass all defenses.
"All three main lines, transporting gasoline, diesel, and aviation fuel, exploded simultaneously and were completely disabled," the statement reads.
The precision and synchronization of the attack underscore the growing capability of Ukrainian forces to penetrate russia's layered defense measures.
Russian authorities quickly deployed security services and repair teams to the site in an attempt to contain the damage. However, preliminary assessments indicate that the destruction was extensive and that restoring full operational capacity could take months.
Ukraine's Defense Intelligence emphasized that the Koltsevaya pipeline, with a total length of around 400 kilometers, played a crucial role in supplying fuel from the Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod, and Moscow oil refineries. Annually, the system was capable of pumping up to 3 million tons of aviation fuel, 2.8 million tons of diesel, and 1.6 million tons of gasoline – volumes that sustained both russia's military logistics and key industrial sectors.
As Defense Express previously reported, Ukrainian special forces from the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine have launched an airborne operation in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, one of the most intense and strategically important front sectors. Assault units entered urban areas that russian command had previously declared "under their full control", according to sources within Ukrainian forces cited by Suspilne.
