The Commander of Ukraine’s Ground Forces who also is Commander of the Khortytsia Operational-Strategic Grouping, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, published a video showing the combat work of the pilots of the 16th and 18th Army Aviation Brigades against enemy troops in the eastern direction.

According to Oleksandr Syrskyi, in the first days of the large-scale invasion, the russians expected to destroy Ukrainian army aircraft. However, even one year on, Ukrainian helicopters continue to strike enemies wherever needed.
"While supporting the units of the Eastern Defense Forces, our pilots demonstrate their courage and high skill during combat missions. Strikes from the sky are significant fire and psychological support to the units that heroically hold the front," Syrskyi said.
Colonel-General and Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Hero of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi commanded the operation to defend Kyiv and the Kyiv region. He also commanded the successful Kharkiv counteroffensive. Now Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi also is Commander of the Khortytsia Operational-Strategic Grouping acting on the East of Ukraine and is in charge of Bakhmut direction (including).
