Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi continues to lead the military operation in the east of Ukraine. Together with unit commanders, the commander plans actions that block the rapid advance of the enemy and inflict significant losses on him

That is according to a statement on official account of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

According to the statement, Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated: "The representatives of PMC Wagner are the main forces of the Russian Federation in this sector. Not sparing anything, they are losing significant strength and growing weak. Very soon we will take advantage of this opportunity as we once did near Kyiv, Kharkiv, Balaklia, and Kupyansk."

Ukrainian Ground Forces' Commander noted the superhuman resilience, courage, and bravery of Ukrainian soldiers under the continuous enemy artillery and aircraft fire. In particular, , in particular of 93rd, 10th, 57th, and 5th brigades which are currently defending Ukraine in the east of the country.

Colonel-General and Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Hero of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi commanded the operation to defend Kyiv and the Kyiv region. He also commanded the successful Kharkiv counteroffensive. Now Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi also is Commander of the Khortytsia Operational-Strategic Grouping acting on the East of Ukraine and is in charge of Bakhmut direction (including).
