Fighters of the unmanned systems battalion of Ukraine's 63rd Brigade have successfully destroyed rare North Korean Type 75 multiple launch rocket system that russian forces attempted to conceal on the UAZ vehicle. The Brigade published footage of the strike on December 5, offering a clear view of an operation that blended precision, reconnaissance and tactical discipline.
The video opens with drone operators spotting what appeared to be an ordinary UAZ vehicle moving within a combat zone. From the initial assessment, the target did not stand out as a high-value asset, and the vehicle's modest profile suggested a routine enemy transport. Nonetheless, the operators decided to engage it, anticipating that the occupiers had likely modified the vehicle for military purposes.

Post-strike reconnaissance confirmed those suspicions. The supposedly standard UAZ was in fact carryin mounted North Korean Type 75 MLRS, a system that has periodically appeared in russia's improvised arsenal since Moscow began compensating for ammunition shortages through cooperation with Pyongyang. The discovery again underscores russia's reliance on foreign, often outdated, weapons to fill critical gaps in its battlefield capabilities.
The Type 75, a lightweight 122 mm rocket system, is normally mounted on a small truck chassis. In this case, russian forces placed it on the back of the UAZ vehicle to create a low-visibility mobile launcher. Such adaptations are risky and structurally unstable, but russia has increasingly turned to improvised solutions as Ukrainian strikes continue to erode its stocks of standard equipment.
Drone footage shows the strike landing directly on the vehicle, triggering a secondary detonation and rendering both the car and the rocket launcher completely unusable. The remains of the platform were left scattered as twisted metal, further proof of the precision and destructive efficiency of Ukraine's drone forces.
