Ukrainian forces have successfully intercepted and destroyed one of russia's newest loitering munitions, the Zala KUB 10E, near Pokrovsk in Donetsk region, the 5th Separate Assault Brigade reported.
The drone, carrying an 11-kilogram warhead, represents one of the most advanced and dangerous additions to russia's expanding arsenal of unmanned systems.

The shootdown marks one of the first confirmed cases of this particular drone being downed on the front line. The KUB 10E, produced by ZALA Aero (a subsidiary of the Kalashnikov Concern), is a modernized version of the earlier KUB-BLA drone, designed to deliver explosive payloads with high precision and reduced radar visibility.
The intercepted drone was reportedly flying in the Pokrovsk area, a region that has seen intense fighting and frequent russian drone activity as russian forces attempt to push toward the strategically vital logistics hub. Ukrainian defenders detected and targeted the KUB 10E drone before it could reach its intended objective, neutralizing the threat mid-flight.
As Defense Express previously reported, in a remarkable display of skill and composure, Ukrainian soldier with the call sign Dubai from the Phoenix unit managed to shoot down russian Shahed drone using nothing more than a standard assault rifle.
The extraordinary incident took place in Donetsk region and was confirmed by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, which released video footage of the strike.
