The settlement of Klishchiivka in Donetsk region have been liberated from the Russian invaders by the Defense Forces of Ukraine

That is according to Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, Ukrinform reports.

"The Bakhmut direction. Klishchiivka was cleared of the Russians and liberated by the forces of the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade, the 5th Separate Assault Brigade, the ‘Liut’ United Assault Brigade of the National Police of Ukraine,” Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi announced this on Telegram.

The Ukrainian military continues to entrench itself in Klishchiivka, a settlement near Bakhmut, conduct stabilization operations and demining of territories. This makes it possible to create a bridgehead for the further liberation of the temporarily occupied territories of eastern Ukraine.

This, in particular, was stated by the head of the press service of the Eastern group of troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ilya Yevlash, on the air of the National telethon.

"Currently, we have obtained a bridgehead for ourselves, which will allow us to develop our offensive actions and liberate our land from the occupiers," Ilya Yevlash said.

The Defense Forces of Ukraine have liberated the settlement of Klishchiivka in Donetsk region from the russian invaders.

The press officer emphasized that the liberation of the settlement allowed the Armed Forces of Ukraine to gain control over the logistics routes of the occupiers in the Ukrainian Bakhmut area. Yevlash also noted that as a result of the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian troops, the flanks of the russians were exposed.

"This is the exposure of the flanks, which will make it possible to advance more conveniently in the depth of the enemy and deliver more accurate and deeper blows to the enemy," he explained.

Earlier, the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrsky, released a video showing how warriors of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade liberate the village of Andriivka, which is south of Klishchiivka.
