Ukraine targeted a key launch area that russia routinely uses for UAV attacks on civilian infrastructure

Ukraine's Special Operations Forces have carried out a successful deep-strike mission against a storage and launch site for russian Shahed-type attack drones in the south of temporarily occupied Crimea using the FP-2 drones.

The operation, conducted during the night of November 28, targeted a key hub near Cape Chauda, an area long used by russian forces to prepare and launch UAV strikes against Ukrainian cities.

According to the SOF Command, the strike accurately hit the designated zone where russia stored and deployed its Shahed drones. These Iranian-designed loitering munitions have become a central tool in Moscow's campaign against Ukraine's civilian infrastructure, particularly in the energy and industrial sectors.

Cape Chauda has served as one of the primary launch corridors for russian UAV attacks. The location's distance from the Ukrainian mainland and its proximity to the Black Sea make it a regular staging ground for the Shahed variants and other long-range drones. Hitting this site directly undermines russia's ability to maintain high-frequency drone strikes.

As Defense Express previouc;y reported, Ukraine's Defense Intelligence has reported the results of a coordinated operation carried out jointly with the local Resistance Movement in the temporarily occupied city of Berdіansk.

The strike led to significant losses among russian personnel and damaged several military vehicles positioned deep inside temporarily occupied territory.
