In his traditional evening video message on Saturday, November 9, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi emphasized that this year the Ukrainian defense industry managed to achieve significant results in a number of areas. For instance, these are ammunition (it was recently reported that millions of mortar shells are produced annually), howitzers (probably Bohdana in self-propelled and towed variants), and drones.

In addition, Zelenskyi noted successes in the production of missile weapons. "We have passed the mark of the first hundred missile weapons this year" he said, without adding any further details. However, it is clear that we are talking about long-range weapons that are critically needed to destroy targets directly on the territory of the russian federation at a range of at least hundreds of kilometers.
It is not entirely clear whether Zelenskyi is referring to producing more than 100 missiles this year, or if this figure was already reached this year. We can cautiously assume that the vast majority of missiles were produced in 2024, which allows us to cautiously state a rate of 10 missiles per month.
Obviously, this is not enough to compare these figures with missiles production in russia, but it is worth noting that work is being done in this direction. We can also imagine a situation where the production rate increased from a few missiles at the beginning of the year to 15-20 by October-November.
So far, it has not been officially disclosed what kind of missiles are produced, but the options are quite obvious. First of all, this refers to the Neptune cruise missile in the land attack variant, especially since the Ukrainian Navy has repeatedly hinted at using this weapon to strike specific targets, given that the service no longer has any weapons capable of hitting targets hundreds of kilometers away.

The most recent cases include the destruction of a warehouse containing russian-Iranian Shahed drones in the village of Oktyabrskoye in Krasnodar Krai in early September, as well as a number of other cases, such as the destruction of the Conro Trader ferry.
Earlier this year, it became known that Ukraine has developed its own ballistic missile with a range of 600-700 km, and this weapon may be included in the list of over a hundred missiles.
As Defense Express reported Ukraine had reached the limit of mortar shells production.
