Over the past day, Ukrainian border guards successfully shot down four enemy Shahed-131/136 drones during a wave of aerial attacks in Sumy region. These Iranian-designed loitering munitions have been widely used by russian forces in their ongoing assault on Ukraine's infrastructure.
In the last two days alone, the State Border Guard Service units have also neutralized one Molniya-type drone, two Krylo drones, and no fewer than sixteen FPV drones, three of which were operating via fiber-optic guidance, a tactic increasingly used by russia to evade electronic warfare systems.

The mobile fire teams continue to demonstrate vigilance, professionalism, and growing effectiveness in countering enemy drone threats. The border guards also shared close-up visuals of the downed drones, further underscoring their operational success.

As Defense Express previously reported, in the skies over Donetsk region, Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces are steadily tipping the balance of aerial reconnaissance and attack with their own drones. Operators from the Raid 413th Battalion have been successfully intercepting a range of russian UAVs, from cheap FPV attackers to sophisticated tactical reconnaissance platforms.
