In May, a number of successful attacks were carried out on russian factories, including those producing unified gliding and correction modules (UMPK kits)

Since the beginning of this month, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have carried out a series of strikes on russian enterprises involved in producing goods for the enemy's defense industry. It became known that the JSC Strela, located in Bryansk Oblast near the Ukrainian border, can be considered destroyed, as confirmed by satellite images.

Later, the CyberBoroshno OSINT community released more images. These images show the results of attacks on other plants.

For instance, on May 7, the JSC NPO Bazalt was attacked. Satellite images show damage to the main workshop of the facility. Earlier it was reported that the operation was carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) using long-range attack drones.

The main facility of the JSC NPO Bazalt is located in Moscow. At the same time, the SSU forces struck a research and production facility located in Krasnoarmeysk, Moscow Oblast. NPO Bazalt also has production facilities in Tula and Nerekhta in the Kostroma region. The affected facility is located approximately 500 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

According to satellite imagery released by CyberBoroshno, the production facility of the Shcheglovsky Val plant was destroyed. This refers to a facility that was newly built earlier this spring.

Let's take a closer look at the activities of these companies. The JSC NPO Bazalt has been operating since 1916 and is currently part of the Rostec State Corporation. The company's product range includes aircraft weapons, anti-tank weapons, mortar rounds of various types and calibers, and more.

In particular, NPO Bazalt is the developer and one of the manufacturers of the UMPK kit, which is actively used by the russian occupation forces. In 2024, the company announced plans to produce the PBK-500U Drel, a cluster glide bomb that had been tested for seven years.

As for Shcheglovsky Val, it is part of the NPO High Precision Systems, company within Rostec russian state-owned defense conglomerate. It produces Pantsir missile systems, including multifunctional radars; the Bakhcha and Berezhok remote-controlled weapon stations, which feature commander’s sights; and the Kornet-EM anti-tank missile.

Earlier Defense Express reported about modernized russian A-222M Bereg howitzer.
