Ukrainian companies continue to establish joint ventures with German partners under the Build with Ukraine program. This time, attention is focused on two agreements for the production of interceptor drones.
The agreements were signed at the Embassy of Ukraine in Germany on April 14. The first is a memorandum of understanding between TAF Industries and Thyra. The latter specializes in the sale of aviation systems, as well as protection against UAVs and missiles.

The Ukrainian company TAF Industries manufactures a variety of drones, including anti-aircraft variants. Notable examples include the TAF-I10, which is based on the Kolibri, and the Octopus-100. The company also recently signed a memorandum of cooperation with the German Wingcopter.
In addition, a memorandum of cooperation on establishing a joint venture between WIY of Ukraine and Quantum Systems. It is noted that production will focus on WIY STRILA anti-drone interceptors.

This agreement is notable because it likely formalizes the production in Germany of 15,000 such drones for the National Guard of Ukraine. The relevant contract with Quantum Systems, which had previously invested in WIY, was funded by Germany.
This shows that Ukrainian companies are actively seeking German partners, and in some cases, several at once. This will allow scaling up production and attracting additional funding for operations and procurement.

It should be noted that these memorandums still require further action and additional agreements to implement the projects. However, they at least formalize intentions and lay the groundwork for future cooperation.
However, this cooperation is no longer limited to drones, as Diehl Defence has agreed to technical cooperation with the Luch Design Bureau and Fire Point. It seems there will be more projects of this kind.
From the Defense Express side, we urges you to join a fundraising for what is already working: One United Fundraiser: Fundraising by the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation for interceptor drones.
