The Ukrainian company Inguar Defence has unveiled a new variant of its armored vehicle—the Inguar-3 MED—designed for the evacuation of the wounded. To effectively carry out these tasks, it has undergone some notable modifications compared to the base model.
The first obvious change is the replacement of the rear doors with a high-speed ramp fitted with rails. This design is intended to simplify and speed up the loading of wounded personnel or cargo into the vehicle.

On the other hand, the Inguar-3 MED features a medical compartment instead of a troop compartment, housing medical equipment and space for stretchers. The vehicle features modular mounting systems that allow it to be adapted to specific missions and requirements.
The company emphasizes that it has extracted every last bit of potential from its armored vehicle to create an excellent medical evacuation platform. This is made possible by the independent suspension and high-clearance chassis, as well as the vehicle's robust protection.

Overall, developing specialized variants based on domestic Ukrainian armored vehicles is an expected and logical decision. It helps both to utilize designs that have already been battle-tested and to ensure a certain level of standardization within the armed forces.
This isn't the first variant of the Inguar-3, as a pickup truck designed for UAV crews has already been unveiled. There are also reports of work underway on a lighter version, as well as one with a 6×6 wheel configuration.

The armored vehicle was originally presented as a platform designed to support multiple variants. Its protection meets STANAG 4569 Level 3 standards. Anti-drone systems are also being actively installed on it.
As for medical armored vehicles, the Novator-2S and Kozak-5MED are already being supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, they belong to the lighter class and rely on an imported Ford F-550 chassis.
