The Netherlands remains steadfast in its unwavering support for Ukraine, committing over 2 billion euros in military assistance for the year 2024, the Dutch Ministry of Defense reports. This substantial allocation reflects the ongoing need for Ukraine’s defense capabilities to be bolstered. The funds will primarily address Ukraine’s critical requirements, including ammunition supplies and maintenance of previously delivered platforms and systems. Additionally, the Netherlands intends to bolster air defenses, enabling the country to effectively safeguard its critical infrastructure against potential attacks. Technologically advanced equipment will also receive due attention.
The provision of support will encompass commercial procurement, supplies from the Netherlands’ own inventories and collaboration with international partners. Furthermore, resources will be directed towards enhancing Ukraine’s cybersecurity posture. The Netherlands remains committed to training Ukrainian military personnel throughout 2024.
