Special operations units from the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine have dealt significant losses to russian forces in Zaporizhzhia region over the past week. According to official reports, 27 russian troops were eliminated, with an additional 101 rendered combat-ineffective during ongoing frontline engagements.
During a clearing operation in the village of Shcherbaky, the Defense Intelligence operatives also captured two enemy soldiers, underscoring Ukraine’s continued push for tactical advantage in the region.

Enemy equipment losses inflicted by the units include:
- 34 motor vehicles;
- 11 armored vehicles,
- 1 tank;
- 10 mortars;
- 13 artillery systems;
- 7 reconnaissance and strike UAVs;
- 15 UAV communication antennas;
- 14 electronic warfare and intelligence systems.
In addition, Ukrainian forces targeted and destroyed more than 200 russian engineering and fortification structures, as well as an enemy ammunition depot, further degrading russia’s battlefield logistics and defensive capabilities.
These operations highlight the growing effectiveness of Ukrainian intelligence-led missions in disrupting russian military efforts and reinforcing Ukraine’s defensive lines in the south.
