The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine reports how DPRK soldiers are being trained for war against Ukraine

The arrival of North Korean troops in russia is reported by the Defense Intelligence ofUkraine on Thursday, October 24.

"The first military units from the DPRK, trained at eastern russian training grounds, have already arrived in the combat zone. In particular, on October 23, 2024, their appearance was recorded in the Kursk region of the russian federation," the statement reads.

According to Ukraine's Intelligence estimates, the number of North Korean military personnel transferred to russia is about 12,000, including 500 officers and three generals.

North Korean soldiers who have arrived in russia are being trained at five military training grounds located in the east of the aggressor state: Baranovsky (Ussuriysk), Donguz (Ulan-Ude), Yekaterinoslavsky (Yekaterinoslavka), 248th (Knyaze-Volkonskoye) and 249th (Sergeevka). The North Korean military, which russia intends to use in the war against Ukraine, is given several weeks to achieve cohesion.

Moscow has appointed Deputy Minister of Defense of the russian federation, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov to be responsible for controlling the military training and adaptation of DPRK troops.

At the same time, the Defense Intelligence of Ukrainelearned that the soldiers sent by Pyongyang were being equipped with: accoutrements, bedding, winter clothes, shoes, and personal hygiene products.

In particular, according to the established norms, Moscow will allocate 50 meters of toilet paper and 300 grams of soap to each North Korean every month.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, the Kremlin has high hopes for a North Korean component in the war against Ukraine and the global confrontation with the West.

Earlier Defense Express reported that North Korea had receiveed nuclear technologies from russia in exchange for sending soldiers, posing a catastrophic threat to South Korea.
