Ukrainian drone operators continue to play a pivotal role on the battlefield, methodically targeting and destroying russian military vehicles with increasing precision and consistency. In the latest example of this tactic, operators from the 38th Separate Marine Brigade successfully eliminated two high-value targets: the 2S3 Akatsiya 152 mm self-propelled howitzer and one armored fighting vehicle.
The footage of the strike, shared by the Brigade on social media, captures the culmination of a well-rehearsed process that has become a trademark of Ukraine's evolving drone warfare. First, reconnaissance units locate enemy assets using aerial surveillance, then FPV drones are deployed to strike with deadly accuracy.

This strike was carried out by the Korsar battalion, one of Ukraine's many dedicated units specializing in drone operations. These teams often work deep behind enemy lines or in contested zones, launching drones that can maneuver at low altitudes and evade detection before crashing into their targets.
"We are the eyes in the sky, watching the enemy and turning them into ashes, both effectively and spectacularly," the soldiers explained. Their statement reflects the growing confidence and combat experience of Ukrainian drone teams, who are now a decisive force multiplier on the front lines.
The 2S3 Akatsiya, Soviet-era 152 mm self-propelled howitzer, remains one of the main artillery systems used by russian forces. Its destruction, along with the AFV, represents both a tactical victory and a symbolic blow against Moscow's outdated military hardware, much of which is increasingly vulnerable to the Unmanned Systems Forces.
