At this facility, russians produce components of Decilin-M fuel for the Kh‑55 and Kh‑101 missiles, as well as additives for diesel and aviation kerosene.
According to the SSU, this plant is an important part of the russian military industry, and its temporary shutdown will complicate the production of rocket fuel. This should reduce russia's ability to maintain the intensity of its shelling of Ukraine. The Redkinsky Experimental Plantis also subject to U.S. sanctions.
After successful drone strikes, a major fire erupted at the plant. According to the FIRMS service, which tracks fires worldwide in real time, a fire was detected at the facility.
"The SSU continues to systematically strike key targets of the russian military industry. The hit plant is an important link in the creation of cruise missiles, which russia uses to attack Ukraine. Even a temporary shutdown of its operations complicates the production of rocket fuel and reduces the enemy's ability to maintain the intensity of shelling of our cities," the statement reads.
The SSU continues its active campaign to neutralize key russian targets. Recent strikes have also hit russian military targets, including factories producing drones.
Earlier Defense Express reported that Ukrainian Forces had destroyed russian ground drone carrying 120-mm mortar.
