During a meeting on the development of the unmanned component of the russian occupation forces, russian Minister of Defense Andrey Belousov emphasized that up to 80% of fire missions are currently carried out using unmanned aerial vehicles. According to russian propaganda media, russians discussed improving the efficiency of their unmanned aerial vehicle control system at a meeting attended by Belousov, military representatives, and various research organizations.

Belousov emphasized the exponential growth in drone use on the battlefield, noting that their success depends on effective control processes.
Specifically, russia is prioritizing improvements in situational awareness and automated control, using artificial intelligence, machine vision, and neural networks.
