The Prymary special unit of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine published a video of drone strikes on radars, ships, and helicopters in February in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The video shows footage of damage to several Project 22460 Okhotnik patrol ships moored in Sevastopol Bay, a 96L6-TsP radar, a Forpost UAV, a Project 1496M1 sea tug, a Project 16640 fireboat, a Project 02510 BK-16 landing craft, and a Ka-27 helicopter.

However, as OSINT analysts from CyberBoroshno community noted, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine incorrectly identified the the radar that was hit. It was not a 96L6-TsP from the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system that was hit, but a rare 98L6 Yenisei from the S-500 missile defense system.
It should be noted that in August 2025, the Prymary had already struck the same 98L6 Yenisei radar. However, the radar was not directly hit, and the drone crashed nearby. It is likely that the 98L6 did not suffer serious damage at that time, as the warhead of such drones is small.
Therefore, the new video may show either the old 98L6, which was hit back in August 2025, or a new one brought to cover the gaps left by Ukrainian drone strikes.

At the same time, this is the only reason for deploying the 98L6 Yenisei radar in Crimea, either as a separate asset or as part of the S-500 system. The S-500 is designed to intercept powerful weapons, including intercontinental ballistic missiles. In fact, the only ballistic threat to Crimea at present is ATACMS missiles, which, according to the russian federation, can be countered by the S-400.
However, given the regular raids by Ukrainian drones, Moscow clearly does not have many options for strengthening its air defense system, and the 98L6 Yenisei was most likely brought to Crimea to replace the dozens of radars destroyed or damaged there over the past year.
