Since the Defense Forces of Ukraine shot down the second A-50U airborne early warning and control aircraft, russian invaders began to look for alternate ways to gather information. Occupiers began to actively use reconnaissance drones

The head of the Joint Press Center of the Operational Command South Natalia Humeniuk, told how russians are trying to replace lost A-50 aircraft on the air of the national telethon.

"Now they are trying to replace the A-50 that was unexpectedly lost. Now the activity of enemy reconnaissance drones is extremely high in our area of responsibility," noted Humeniuk.

According to Natalia Humeniuk, more than 100 reconnaissance drones were monitored along the frontline as well as in deeper areas over the past day. Occupiers seek to gather information that A-50 aircraft will no longer transmit.

"This is why we see no specific activity of tactical aviation, which keeps its distance in the Black Sea area as well as concentrate its efforts on collecting relevant operational data," the head of the Press Center added.

It is known that russian A-50 aircraft was shot down by the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the evening of February 23 over the Krasnodar Krai. This is the second of such aircraft on account of Ukrainian warriors. According to published information, the entire crew on the plane`s board died.

The Defense Forces of Ukraine managed to shoot down the first such aircraft on January 15, along with an Il-22 airborne command center.

Earlier Defense Express reported that russia had admitted that still has no idea how to make a 6th gen fighter.
