Russian forces plan ‘show trial’ of Azovstal defenders in occupied Mariupol on August 24. This day Ukrainians celebrate Independence Day of Ukraine

Russia can conduct a missile strike on the site during the sham trial and try to shift the blame to Ukraine.

That is according to the statement of the Defense Intelligence of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine.

For this purpose, Mariupol Chamber Philharmonic is being re-equipped with prison cages with a diameter of 20 mm on a stage in order to keep Ukrainian defenders. Also there are few new temporary buildings around.

Occupiers are preparing professional 'witnesses' and bringing russian media representers so that it will look legitimately.

One of the possible scenarios is that they can strike at the building. At this point, they will try to shift the blame on Ukraine.

Previously, Mariupol Mayor Vadym Boichenko reported about it on his Telegram channel and Facebook. “Russian invaders continue to disrespect all international norms. They continue to multiply war crimes, demonstrating disrespect for the entire civilized world. I appeal to the world community, the United Nations and the Red Cross to intervene in the situation so that Standard Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners will be fulfilled. We must do everything to ensure that our defenders return to Ukraine alive and prevent the second Olenivka from being held in Mariupol” said mayor.
