Ukraine's Lasar's Group, operating in coordination with specialists from the State Service of Special Communications, and troops of the 39th Coastal Defense Brigade, has destroyed russian 2S6 Tunguska self-propelled air defense system. The strike further degrades russian short-range air defense coverage in a contested frontline sector.
Footage of the operation was published on December 15 via the official channel of the 27th Pechersk Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. The video shows the engagement and subsequent destruction of the enemy air defense vehicle during a coordinated drone attack.

According to the released material, the Tunguska system was hit by multiple aerial munitions dropped from a Ukrainian bomber drone. Repeated strikes ensured the neutralization of the system, leaving it incapable of providing air defense protection to nearby russian units.
The 2S6 Tunguska is a combined gun-and-missile air defense platform designed to counter aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles at short ranges. Its presence on the battlefield is intended to shield maneuver units and key equipment from aerial threats, particularly low-flying targets.
Eliminating such a system has immediate tactical consequences. The loss of the Tunguska system significantly weakens russia's ability to protect its forces and hardware from Ukrainian drones, loitering munitions, and precision-guided strikes. This, in turn, creates openings for further attacks on exposed positions and logistics nodes.
As Defense Express previously reported, Ukraine's Defense Intelligence has released exclusive combat footage showcasing a coordinated special operation conducted by the 6th Special Operations Detachment within the Tymur special unit.
The video documents a complex assault mission carried out on the Pokrovsk axis, highlighting the layered nature of modern Ukrainian special operations on one of the most contested sectors of the front.
