Ukrainian troops from the Skelya 425th Regiment conducted a complex robotic evacuation mission, rescuing two wounded soldiers under extremely hazardous conditions. The operation, which lasted approximately six hours, was captured on video and shared by the regiment.
The mission was complicated by damaged roads littered with craters from enemy KAB bombs, mortars, and BM-21 Grad rocket strikes. Despite these obstacles, the regiment's ground robotic complex successfully navigated the terrain to reach the wounded personnel.

According to the unit, evacuating casualties from populated areas under constant enemy observation remains highly challenging. To mitigate the risks, commanders and robotic vehicle crews carefully review and plan routes before each mission.
During the evacuation, "waiting drones" and FPV drones provided real-time surveillance, allowing the robotic team to detect hazards and enemy activity along the route. This coordination was critical in maintaining operational safety under combat conditions.
At one point, the robotic vehicle struck a homemade explosive device, losing three of its eight wheels. Despite this damage, the team continued the mission and successfully transported the wounded soldiers to a safe extraction point.
The operation highlights the growing role of unmanned systems in frontline casualty evacuation. By reducing human exposure to enemy fire, these robotic platforms increase the survivability of both medical teams and injured personnel.
As Defense Express previously reported, Ukrainian special forces from the Defense Intelligence have carried out a series of offensive actions near Stepnohirsk in Zaporizhzhia region, regaining key positions and improving their tactical posture on this section of the front. The operation was conducted under difficult logistical conditions and amid persistent russian attempts to hold ground through repeated infantry assaults.
