In November 2024, russian forces suffered their highest personnel and equipment losses since the onset of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine

According to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the total irrecoverable and sanitary personnel losses amounted to 45,720 servicemen, equivalent to over three motorized infantry divisions of the russian army.

Highlighting the scale of these losses, the Ministry reported that on a single day, Ukrainian forces eliminated or incapacitated 2,030 russian soldiers, marking the highest one-day casualty count since February 24, 2022.

In addition to personnel losses, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 307 russian tanks in November—the highest monthly total of the autumn campaign. This figure surpasses the 291 tanks destroyed in September and 279 in October, amounting to nearly 10 tank battalions neutralized. The Ministry estimates the value of these destroyed tanks to be approximately $450 million.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces also struck:

- 899 armored fighting vehicles (AFVs), roughly the equivalent of four motorized infantry divisions. The cost to the russian budget is estimated at $500 million.

- 884 artillery systems, equating to the firepower of 49 artillery divisions. The value of this loss is estimated at $700 million.

The Ministry of Defense concluded that the total value of russia's military losses in November exceeded $3 billion, marking a significant increase compared to previous months.

"In September and October, the economic impact of destroyed equipment was lower, underscoring the escalating costs russia faces to sustain its war effort. The Kremlin continues to drain enormous financial resources, prolonging this war," the Ministry stated.
