Since February 2022, there have been many rare types of military equipment deployed by both sides of the russo-Ukrainian War, and russians showcased many interesting technologies long considered classified. But they get destroyed nonetheless, eventually.
One of them is the RB-636 Svet-KU electronic warfare system, designed for surveillance of surrounding signals and radioemitters, analyzing and locating them, and protecting sensible information from adversary interference. The video showing this valuable target taken out by an artillery strike was published by Yaroslav Oliinyk, Adviser to the Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine.

This is the first visually confirmed destruction of an RB-636 Svet-KU system in Ukraine since russia launched its all-out offensive on the Ukrainian territories last year. The author says, the vehicle was deployed in the rear of russian positions, and they didn't expect that Ukrainians would be able to find it.
Several media say the EW system was spotted by a Shark UAV operator somewhere in the Luhansk Region in eastern Ukraine. The coordinates were handed over to HIMARS rocket system units, and the target was hit with a GMLRS smart rocket.
That makes the second time russians have an RB-636 Svet-KU lost to the Ukrainian forces: earlier in March 2022, one unit was captured. And now, another one is destroyed.
Worth noting, this EW system had been spotted in Ukraine even before the full-scale invasion: OSINT community InformNapalm confirmed they were seen deployed by russian forces in occupied territories of Ukraine in 2016, 2019, 2020, and 2021.
RB-636 Svet-KU entered service with the russian military in 2012, there is no data on how many of them were delivered to the russian army.
