The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed a series of successful strikes against critical elements of russia's military-industrial complex, including a major ammunition arsenal and two enterprises involved in the production of explosives and aerial bombs.
One of the confirmed targets was the Y.M. Sverdlov Plant located in Dzerzhinsk. The strike reportedly took place on April 30, 2026, and damaged production facilities associated with the enterprise.

The plant is considered one of russia's largest manufacturers of explosives and ammunition components. The facility is involved in equipping a wide range of munitions, including artillery shells, aerial bombs, anti-tank guided missile warheads, and engineering munitions.
Of particular importance is the plant's role in preparing high-explosive aerial bombs later converted into guided glide bombs. Russia has heavily relied on such FAB-based guided munitions throughout the war, using them to conduct long-range strikes against Ukrainian defensive positions and urban areas near the front.
The General Staff also confirmed a strike on the Kedrovka Arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate in Sverdlovsk region. The attack, carried out on April 25, reportedly hit buildings located on the territory of the arsenal.
In addition, Ukrainian forces confirmed strikes in May 2026 against infrastructure belonging to the Bryansk Chemical Plant in the city of Seltso. The enterprise is described as an important part of russia's defense-industrial sector and a contributor to the supply chain supporting russian forces.
As Defense Express previously reported, Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces struck multiple russian military targets, destroying two air defense systems and damaging logistics infrastructure in temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia and russia's Bryansk region.
