Ukrainian soldiers of the Chimera unit successfully hit a BM-27 Uragan multiple rocket launcher using an FPV drone in the territory of the russian federation

The video was published by volunteer Serhii Sternenko on his Telegram channel.

"It’s a very rare case. Drone hits Uragan MLRS," the message says.

The footage shows how a Ukrainian FPV drone is pursuing a russian BM-27 Uragan MLRS moving in the village of Voznesenovka, Belgorod Region of the russian federation.

The BM-27 Uragan is capable of launching 220 mm rockets from 16 launch tubes mounted on the rear of a ZIL-135 8×8 chassis.

The system began its service with the Soviet Army in the late 1970s, and was its first spin and fin stabilized heavy multiple rocket launcher.

An updated version known as Uragan-1M was commissioned in 2008.

According to Western media reports, russia possesses approximately 750 MLRS of this type, with 200 launchers deployed within the Armed Forces of the russian federation and an additional 550 in storage.
