Ukraine continues to attack russian facilities storing fuel and lubricants

On Thursday, August 22, reports of an attack on russian port appeared online. Port Kavkaz is located in Krasnodar Krai, russia. It is reported that the black smoke was clearly visible from the temporarily occupied Crimea.

Crimean residents saw black smoke. It was clearly visible across the Kerch Strait. Later, it was reported that Conro Trader ferry was probably hit.

According to a report by Cyber Boroshno Telegram channel, it was the only large ferry operating between Kerch and russia. The photos show that this ferry was loaded with tank cars full of fuel and lubricant in the waters of the Kerch fishing port on August 18, 2024.

Later, russian Kuban operational headquarters acknowledged the hit on the port. It is noted that emergency and special services are currently working at the scene, the area of the fire and information about the victims are being clarified.

Later, it became known that Conro Trader ferry sank. There were 30 tank cars with fuel and up to 5 crew members. It was reported by Kuban operational headquarters.

Earlier Defense Express reported that satellite images had revealed oil depot burning for fourth day in Rostov Oblast.
