Production of the Ukrainian 155 mm 2S22 Bohdana wheeled self-propelled howitzer will begin in Poland. They will be offered for use by the Polish Army and to potential foreign customers.
According to Business Insider, the joint venture PK MIL SA was established between Poland's Ponar Wadowice and Ukraine's Kramatorsk Heavy Duty Machine Tool Building Plant. The latter is a developer and manufacturer of artillery systems and is also a member of NAUDI.

It is known that the joint venture was founded back in October 2025, and now It is completing all formalities required to begin weapons production in Poland. It is noted that the Polish side, represented by Ponar Wadowice, owns 51% of the shares in this project.
According to the article, the Polish Army may replace its 152 mm Dana wheeled self-propelled guns with the Bohdana. It also points out export opportunities, while noting that Ukraine cannot currently supply these weapons abroad.

From Defense Express we would like to note that this represents an opportunity for the Ukrainian artillery system to gain its first foreign operator. It will also help to increase the use of production capacities, which the state budget cannot fully cover at present.
The possibility of supplying the Bohdana to Poland for export has previously been considered. Following the failure of the Kryl, Poland is in active search of a wheeled self-propelled gun, and thanks to its high production capacity, the Ukrainian system can be installed on any chassis to meet this need.

Some concern has been raised regarding statements about exports, as this option has already been opened by the Ukrainian government, albeit with certain requirements and restrictions. It is essential that the production process serves Ukraine's interests and that the equipment is not sent to other countries.
At the same time, as of October 2025, when the joint venture was established, arms exports remained closed, making the logic behind the project clear. The final assembly, including chassis integration, can be performed at Polish facilities, commonly used for foreign weapon systems.

Overall, this represents a good opportunity for the Bohdana self-propelled gun to be exported, which, if successful, could result in additional orders worldwide. Nevertheless, it should be highlighted that no official announcement of a potential Polish purchase has been made, and the system may have to compete with the French CAESAR.
