- four Zircon/Oniks missiles;
- 32 Iskander-M and S-300 ballistic missiles;
- seven Kh-22/Kh-32 cruise missiles;
- 28 Kh-101/Iskander-K cruise missiles;
- 450 strike UAVs, with around 300 Shahed drones.
The main targets of the strikes were the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, and Odesa regions. Ukrainian air defenses successfully shot down or neutralized 450 targets, including 38 missiles of various types and 412 drones.
At the same time, Yurii Ihnat, head of the Communication Department of the Ukrainian Air Force Command reported the use of a large number of ballistic missiles.
"A massive strike, 521 enemy air threats. This strike featured numerous ballistic missiles, flying along ballistic paths. That is why only 38 out of more than 70 missiles were intercepted. This is a high figure, considering the ballistics. Of the 28 cruise missiles launched, 20 were shot down," Ihnat stated on the air of the national telethon.
He added that information on six missiles is still being verified, and there is no confirmation of any hits yet. They probably did not reach their targets.
While Kalibr, Kh-101, and Iskander-M missiles were used in the past, Ihnat emphasized that Tuesday's strike involved Kh-22, Kh-32, Zircon, and probably Oniks missiles on a massive scale.
Ukraine's energy infrastructure facilities were most affected by the attack. According to local authorities, at least 820 residential buildings in Kharkiv remain without heat, a situation made especially critical by temperatures of -20°C. In Kyiv, 1,170 residential buildings remain without heating as well.
