Three Nebo-M radar stations, once the pride of russia's air defense, were wiped out in one coordinated strike by the Lasar’s Group unit and 73rd Maritime Center

Ukrainian special operators have carried out a unique strike in temporarily occupied Crimea, destroying one of the most advanced elements of russia's air defense. According to Pavlo Yelizarov, founder of the Lasar's Group unit of the National Guard, the operation was conducted jointly with the 73rd Maritime Center for Special Operations.

During the mission, Ukrainian forces successfully eliminated a complex of three russian Nebo-M radar systems, which together were valued at 100 million dollars. The operation's details were revealed by Pavlo Yelizarov and later confirmed by Ukraine's Minister of Digital Transformation and Deputy Prime Minister, Mykhailo Fedorov.

Russia claims that the Nebo-M radar is its most modern system, capable of identifying even stealth aircraft such as the F-22 and F-35. However, the system failed to detect Ukrainian drones approaching it, a failure that proved fatal to the high-value assets deployed in Crimea.

According to the report, Ukrainian soldiers first obtained satellite data showing the precise positions of russian radar bases. Using that intelligence, they prepared and executed a coordinated strike using naval drones that served as carriers for heavy bomber-type drones, enabling high-precision attacks.

A single attack was enough to destroy all three radar systems, turning what russia once called "the pride of its air defense" into a pile of metal debris. The destruction of these systems not only delivered a symbolic blow but also significantly reduced the enemy's situational awareness over parts of temporarily occupied Crimea.

Mykhailo Fedorov emphasized that this operation demonstrates how Ukraine is scaling innovations together with the military to destroy occupiers effectively, wherever they may be. His statement highlights the growing role of technology and private military innovation in Ukraine's modern warfare efforts.

As Defense Express previously reported, pilots from the Phoenix unit of Ukraine's State Border Guard Service have released combat footage showcasing a series of successful FPV drone strikes that resulted in the elimination of approximately 50 russian troops and the destruction of multiple vehicles and armored assets.
